According to Cherokee legend, there are two wolves inside each of us–one who is angry, envious, sorrowful, arrogant, regretful and falsely proud; the other who is humble, empathetic, hopeful, peaceful, generous, and appreciative. These two wolves are always fighting each other to influence how we act. A boy once asked his wise Cherokee elder, “Which wolf will win?” The sage older man answered, “The one you feed.”
I’d love to hear your thoughts on how this Cherokee legend relates to the work we are doing with our HIL Project schools. Let’s start a conversation!
