Three words best describe General Education Leadership Network (GELN) and its goals: collaborative, proactive, and influential.
This vision guides all the GELN's various initiatives, including the Early Literacy Task Force.
Their belief in the urgency for stakeholders to rally around new approaches to impacting Michigan's system in support of literacy- as well as a robust body of research and resources- makes them an ideal partner for the High Impact Leadership (HIL) Project.
Participating school leaders (principals and teachers) will work with facilitation coaches to implement the research supported GELN Literacy Essentials in high-poverty Reading Now Network (RNN) elementary schools.
